Too often, diagnostic tests are interpreted without the full clinical picture, and critical diagnoses are made (or not!) with an incomplete view.
Unavia was created to change that: to bring clinicians and pathologists together for the patient, and to make the diagnostic experience feel thoughtful, connected, and clinically meaningful.
Two hands, one purpose — clinician and pathologist united for the patient.
From the Latin una via, "one path," Unavia reflects a simple idea: the right diagnosis is reached together — clinician and pathologist on the same path toward the best outcome for the patient.
Pathology with insight — connecting clinical history, imaging, and microscopic interpretation to reach answers together.
Thoughtful, patient-centered reports that translate microscopic findings into meaningful clinical guidance you can act on with confidence.
Behind every sample is a patient and a family counting on the right diagnosis. We honor that trust with the care and detail each case deserves.
At Unavia, every case is a collaboration. We take the time needed to integrate clinical history, imaging, and microscopic findings into a comprehensive, meaningful interpretation.
time and attention devoted to each case
thoughtful integration of clinical history, imaging, and diagnostic testing

Unavia is designed for clinicians and their patients — those who value insight, partnership, and a diagnostic process built to get it right.

BSc, DVM, DACVP
Founder, Veterinary Pathologist
Dr. Anna Meredith is a board-certified veterinary clinical pathologist and practicing veterinarian based in Ontario. She completed both her veterinary degree and clinical pathology residency at the Ontario Veterinary College, developing expertise in cytology and hematopathology, with additional interests in oncology and internal medicine.
Before founding Unavia, Dr. Meredith served as Chief Veterinary Clinical Pathologist for a diagnostic service and has presented at international veterinary conferences. She currently contributes to the ASVCP Quality Assurance and Laboratory Standards Subcommittee for Cytology Reporting, advocating for improved communication and quality in diagnostic cytology.
Dr. Meredith has a particular passion for integrating ultrasound findings with cytology. She has completed intermediate and advanced ultrasound courses, giving her a unique combination of imaging and diagnostic insight that meaningfully informs her interpretations.
A clinician at heart, Dr. Meredith continues to practice veterinary medicine through her small-animal mobile service. This firsthand clinical experience shapes how she approaches every case — understanding not only what is on the slide, but what it means for the patient and the veterinarian caring for them.
Behind every sample is a pet who's loved, a family who's waiting, and a clinician committed to getting it right. Unavia exists to honor that responsibility — with collaboration, clarity, and care in every diagnosis.
One path to diagnosis – together.
